Success of Czech producers at Agritechnica fair
27. 11. 2023470,000 visitors from 149 countries, 2,800 exhibitors from 52 countries, 24 halls filled with agricultural technology, and 7 days packed with meetings with customers and business partners. After a four-year break, Agritechnica—the most important European trade fair for agricultural machinery—returned in full force and attracted many Czech agricultural machinery manufacturers who brought a wide range of innovations to Hannover.
A total of six companies, all members of the Agricultural and Forestry Technology Association (A.ZeT), participated in the trade fair as exhibitors.
BEDNAR FMT s.r.o. made a bold statement at the Hannover Exhibition Centre, showcasing 11 machines in its signature yellow across nearly 1,000 m2. The display included several world premieres, especially significant expansions of its seeding technology portfolio. New model lines and seed drills were introduced that respond to current agricultural trends such as direct seeding and strip-till technology.
"We were looking forward to Agritechnica and rightly expected it to be worth it. I believe we’ve once again confirmed to everyone just how innovative and technologically advanced our company is. Our stand was constantly buzzing with customers and business partners, and the number of new contacts and meetings is fantastic. We're especially pleased with the strong interest in our new seeding solutions. Overall, the exhibition was a major success for us," said David Ryčl, Marketing Director of BEDNAR FMT s.r.o.
AGRIO MZS s.r.o., the largest Czech manufacturer of field sprayers, also impressed with a creative two-story café-style booth. The third-generation DINO self-propelled sprayer and the GIGANT tandem trailed sprayer—with a 14,000-liter tank and 36-meter boom, one of the largest in its class—made their exhibition debut.
"At Agritechnica, we had the opportunity to present our latest portfolio developments to our business partners and customers and to once again prove that the AGRIO brand is in great shape and continuously evolving. In recent years, like many other companies, we have reconsidered our participation in various exhibitions, but Agritechnica stands in a league of its own and was absolutely worth attending," said Jan Kovařík, Head of Sales at AGRIO MZS s.r.o.
Strojírny Rožmitál, s.r.o., a traditional producer of forage equipment, showcased two product innovations and introduced a fresh, humorous style of communication. Featured were the prototype SD-300R rear-mounted disc mower with a roller conditioner and a new type of hook tine for tedders, improving forage distribution while minimizing soil contamination.
"The new mower is expected to be used mainly for clover, alfalfa, etc. We're seeing demand especially from southern regions, such as the Iberian Peninsula, southern France, and the Balkans. We also have high expectations from our newest and farthest market, as our Australian partner eagerly awaits the new model," said Pavel Jahoda, Sales Director at Strojírny Rožmitál s.r.o.
Also presented to the German audience were the SC-301R front-mounted disc mower with roller conditioner, the OZ-676H rotary tedder, and the SB-4631 rotary rake.
EURO BAGGING, s.r.o., which manufactures silage presses and distributes silage bags, showcased just one machine—but one that drew significant attention. The EB 310 LG DELUXE silage press, in its third year on the market, has already found customers in the Czech Republic, France, Switzerland, and New Zealand. Equipped with an air-conditioned cab, the machine is tailored for contractors.
"Many visitors came to see the machine in person, having previously seen it online or heard about it. No other manufacturer currently offers a comparable product, as confirmed by the booth visitors. Agritechnica gave us access to customers we wouldn't normally meet during the season. We attracted serious new prospects from South America, Canada, and the USA, and from Europe particularly from Germany and Switzerland," said Lukáš Jurek, Managing Director of EURO BAGGING, s.r.o.
ROmiLL AGRICULTURE s.r.o., based in Kyjov, brought not only its well-known Moravian hospitality to Agritechnica but also its portfolio of machines for processing wet grain. Among the highlights were the mobile ROmiLL M2 (with stainless steel auger conveyor, four working rollers, capacity up to 40 t/h) and the ROmiLL CP1 (with a pressing tunnel, two working rollers, capacity up to 20 t/h). These newly designed and improved machines can also process dry grain without changing the rollers.
"Agritechnica is a perfect opportunity to showcase our constant product development to both familiar and new customers. We were truly surprised by the massive interest from customers, contractors, and both current and potential business partners. It was especially rewarding to meet customers who have used our machines for two decades, need nothing, and just came by for a beer," said Martin Vopálka, Managing Director of ROmiLL AGRICULTURE s.r.o.
JK Machinery, a.s., which manufactures and supplies complete technologies for cleaning, sorting, dehulling, and milling agricultural products, also exhibited at Agritechnica, with activities spanning three continents.
"In Hannover, we made significant progress on sunflower processing lines in Kazakhstan and Romania, worked on a seed line for the UK, and initiated a project for flax and millet processing in Ukraine. Our German representative, who was present throughout the event, gathered dozens of promising contacts, and we’re confident many of these leads will result in successful projects," said Jiří Janeček, Chairman of the Board and CEO.
JK Machinery also introduced its new flagship product: the modular VibroMAX JCM 16224 cleaner with split screens. The booth also featured 3D models of seed processing and hemp dehulling lines, which attracted a great deal of interest.
For several days, Hannover once again became the global hub for agricultural machinery professionals—manufacturers, developers, journalists, and above all, farmers and end-users. Czech manufacturers successfully presented their innovations and demonstrated that they continue to keep pace with technological advancements.
Participation in such a prestigious event strengthened existing partnerships and opened up new business opportunities that Czech companies are sure to benefit from in the coming years.
