Agdata introduces an AI assistant for farm management

Czech agrotech company Agdata has introduced a new tool called Agáta, which uses artificial intelligence to support the day-to-day management of agricultural businesses. The solution builds on existing systems for collecting and evaluating farm data – from sensors, satellite imagery and telematics to records of work, inventories and regulatory obligations.

Agáta is designed to help farmers navigate data more quickly and support decision-making. In crop production, for example, it can work with LPIS data, crop rotation history, soil analyses or satellite data, and alert users to risks, deadlines or potential inconsistencies. When connected to machinery, it can also assist in evaluating operational data or diagnostic messages.

The aim of such tools is not to replace agronomists, livestock specialists or farm managers, but to reduce part of the routine administration and allow them to devote more time to professional work in day-to-day operations. Artificial intelligence is therefore gradually becoming a practical complement to precision farming, planning, record-keeping and the economic management of farms.

For the agricultural machinery sector, this is another confirmation of the trend in which the value of modern machines is increasingly linked to data, software and the ability to evaluate real-life operations. Digitalisation, telematics, application maps, automation and AI will become an increasingly important part of farmers’ decision-making and of the offering provided by machinery suppliers.
